Thai Visas - All You Ever Wanted To Know

Thai One Year Visa [Long-Stay] according with order of the Royal Thai Police Headquarters No.606/2549 about rules and conditions in the consideration of Alien Applications for Temporary Stay in the Kingdom of Thailand [ No need to make a boarder trips every 90 days but need to notify of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days at any Immigration Office [ Throughout Thailand ].

Marriage Visa

§ The alien has obtained Non-Immigrant Visa.

§ The marital relationship shall be de jure [legitimate] and de facto.

§ Any party or both must have a total income of not less than Baht 40,000 per month.

§ Proof of family relationship issued by the authority or government agency concerned such as ; Marriage Certificate , Household registration etc..

Retirement Visa

  • The alien has obtained Non-Immigrant Visa.
  • The application is 50 years of age or over.
  • Proof of income of not less than Baht 60,000 per month or account deposit with a bank not less than Baht 800,000 as shown in bank account statements for the last 3 months or has the annual income plus bank account deposit totaling not less than Baht 800,000 as of the date of application.
  • His/Her spouse [Legal Marriage] allowed to have a dependent visa with this visa type.

Business Visa

  • The alien has obtained Non-Immigrant Visa.
  • The Application must have a Work Permit [Blue Book]
  • The business concerned must have a registered capital of not less than Baht 2 million , fully paid-up.
  • The business concerned must have a ratio of 1 alien to 4 Thai employees except these following businesses ;

[a] International trade enterprise [ Representative Office ]

[b] Regional Office

[c] Multinational Company [ Branch Office]

the ratio of aliens to Thai employees shall be reduced to be 1 : 1

  • The business concerned must have submitted audited balance sheet as at the end of the latest fiscal year, showing The totals of shareholders in the balance payment will not less than 1 million Baht.
  • The Business must have income enough to pay the salary of their employees.
  • The alien must have an income according to their nationality ;

Nationality Minimum Income

1. European Countries,Australia,Canada,Japan,

and U.S.A. Baht 50,000/Month

2. South Korea,Singapore,Taiwan and Hong Kong Baht 45,000/Month

3. Asian Countries,South America,Countries in

Eastern Europe,Countries in Central America,

Mexico,Turkey,Russia and South Africa Baht 35,000/Month

4. African Countries,Cambodia,Myanmar,Laos

and Vietnam Baht 25,000/Month

Investment Visa

  • The alien has obtained a Non - Immigrant Visa.
  • The alien entered Thailand before this order came into force and has been allowed to stayed in the Kingdom with Investment Visa already.
  • Proof of money transfer from overseas to Thailand not less than Baht 3 Million.
  • Proof of investment in the form of fixed deposit money of not less than Baht 3 Million in a Thai Bank Account with thai shareholders comprising more than 50 % of its shareholders.
  • Proof of investment to purchase a condominium from organization [not second hand condominium] or government agency concerned at a appraisal price must not less than Baht 3 Million.
  • Proof of investment to purchase government or state enterprise bonds of not less than Baht 3 Million.

Education Visa

  • The alien has obtained a Non -Immigrant Visa.
  • Confirmation and Request Letter From the particular educational institution giving the detail of years of study, level of education etc,.
  • A certificate copy of the registration paper and license of the education institution.
  • A receipt of semester fees from education institution.

Dependent Visa

§ The alien has obtained a Non – Immigrant Visa.

§ Proof of family relationship to show as a member of an alien who has been permitted to stay temporarily in Thailand e.g., Marriage Certificate , Birth Certificate , Registration of legitimate child , Household Registration Certificate, etc.
